I'm Ottillie—founder, certified groomer, and the pet parent behind the van. Roman’s Empire began with our 2.5-year-old Shihpoo, Roman: the tiny trailblazer who changed everything.
When we brought him home from a breeder, he was sick with parvo. After three nights in the emergency hospital, we faced unclear pricing, withheld information, and mounting bills that only changed when we asked the right questions. That experience revealed how broken pet care can be.
It shaped how I run Roman’s Empire. In the grooming world, I’ve seen pets pushed through services they couldn’t tolerate, then sent home with false praise so clients wouldn’t question what happened. That’s not care—it’s performance. I left that system to create something radically different: a safe, honest, and gentle experience for pets and the people who love them.

I’m AKC S.A.F.E. Certified and Fear Free Certified, offering one-on-one grooming grounded in behavioral science, transparency, and compassion. Your pet’s physical and emotional safety always comes first—no exceptions.
Supporting me is my partner Brandon—our grooming assistant and resident cat whisperer. He co-handles every feline appointment and ensures each cat is approached with quiet, confident care. He also keeps our mobile spa running smoothly, stepping in whenever an extra set of hands is needed.

What’s included in a full groom?
Every full-service appointment includes a bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blow-dry, thorough brush-out, nail trim and file, ear cleaning, sanitary trim (if needed), and a customized haircut. We never charge extra for essential care—our pricing is all-inclusive.
Do you groom cats?
Yes! We offer full-service cat grooming using low-stress handling techniques. Services include lion cuts, brush-outs, nail trims, and full coat maintenance—all done gently and quietly in our mobile spa.
How far do you travel?
We currently serve Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Cameron Park, and surrounding areas.
How much does it cost?
Grooming prices range from $115 to $450 depending on your pet’s size, coat type, and needs. Visit our Pricing & Services page for a detailed breakdown.
Is this right for nervous or older pets?
Absolutely. We specialize in gentle, one-on-one grooming without loud dryers or chaotic waiting rooms. Many of our regulars are elderly, fearful, or require special accommodations.
